Call for Art – Hanging with the Gorton Center
Artists!
The Deer Path Art League has entered an agreement with the Gorton Center to hang art from our member artists on the main stairs and can accommodate about 4 pieces.
Jan – Feb: Edie Ottomon Risher, Linda Scholly and Morgan Adams
March: Phyllis Churbuck, Beverly Behrens and David Dallison
April: Roslyne Smith
Joalida Smit is curating the rotating exhibition and is looking for art to feature May – December 2024.
Details:
- The exhibition rotates every 6 -8 weeks depending on uptake.
- The exhibition may feature:
- single artists
- group shows
- themes
Interested?
Email: joalidasmit@gmail.com with the following:
- First & last name.
- Short, 1 paragraph bio.
- Photo of yourself for the bio page that goes on the art wall.
- Samples of your work, sizes, names and medium – up to 10 works – one page document.
- Prices.
- All contact details: email address, telephone number, address.
- All social media handles: website, Instagram and Facebook.
Restrictions:
- Width up to 48in (length is fine but space allows for one large work per exhibition).
- Weight no more than 25lbs.
- Prefer works NOT mounted under glass as it is very tricky to hang on the stairs.
Please be informed that any artist showing must fill out a waiver stating Gorton Community Center and Deer Path Art League are released from any damages, theft, or loss of installed artwork.
